Summary – Brief
The Agency
prepared and finalized documentation
and programs for the Inauguration of
the AFRO-CAA scheduled for 28th
June 2007 in Windhoek, Namibia.
(A summary of
activities is given below).

program for the inauguration
ceremony.
The Minister and
Senior Ministry officials were also
briefed in
writing about the upcoming events.

The third World Bank ATAG/ICAO
meeting was attended in Ethiopia and
participants privately briefed about
progress made with the AFRO-CAA.
8.
Scheduled
meetings for May 2007 include the
African Aviation Ministers meeting
in Ethiopia and the AFCAC meeting in
Kenya.

Follow-up/Marketing
1)
The tentative inauguration
programme was developed in
consultation with participating
States.
2)
The tentative inauguration
brochure was drawn up to be edited
by participating States.

AFRAA
Invitations to the
inauguration ceremony were sent out
officials

E MOUs Development
The final MOUs in English, French
and Arabic were presented electronic
format. The specially bound formats
are to be prepared in time for the
signing at the inauguration.

Other bodies invited were
EASA, FAA, World Bank, African
Development Bank, AU and a number of
companies and organizations with
interests in aviation.
