Summary – Brief
Meetings and consultations were held
regarding funding and membership for
the AFRO-CAA.

summary of activities is given below).

Meetings were held with the
Ministry of Transport in Kenya and
it was agreed that follow-up
meetings will be held later in the
year as soon as the new Kenyan Civil
Aviation Authority Director General
takes up his new position.
2.
Meetings was held in
Swakopmund and in Berlin, Germany.

securing funding for the AFRO-CAA
concluded positively. It was agreed
that States would be contacted to
engaged these organizations directly
together with the Secretariat in
order to proceed with the funding
problem.

Consultant was engaged to advice on
continental legal issues, funding
within Africa and the development of
the quarterly AFRO-CAA magazine.

Member States continue to study the
proposed harmonized regulations
which will be discussed at the next
board
meeting.

Member states have agreed to
accompany the Secretariat to Europe
to confirm their support for the
proposed funding programme.
