THE
ESTABLISHMENT
OF
AN AFRICANCIVIL AVIATION
AUTHORITY (AFRO-CAA) WITH NAMIBIA
HOSTING THE
HEADQUARTERS
Reference is made to the above
mentioned subject, necessitated by
your company’s proposed
program to undertake the project for
the establishment of the African
Civil Aviation Authority.
Please be advised that the
Government of the Republic of
Namibia, by Cabinet Decision
Nō:23rd/28.08.01/007,
has resolved as follows:
1. That the Cabinet supports the
negotiations for the establishment
of the
headquarters of the
African
Civil Aviation Authority in Namibia
and authorizes the Minister of
Works,
Transport and
Communication to sign agreements to
this effect in consultation with other
Offices/Ministries/Agencies of the
Government.
2.
That other
Offices/Ministries/Agencies are
urged to make the necessary
provisions, should
Namibia
succeed in hosting the headquarters
of the above mentioned Authority.
We trust that the above will be
sufficient to enable you to proceed
and request that you keep us briefed
on all relevant developments where
Namibia’s participation is required.
